UPDATE! Full album review of KSM's debut "Read Between The Lines" under the cut!

Rayvon's quick review of the show after the interview:
KSM the young all girl band on Disney Sound commanded the stage. Their high energy music kept the crowd on their feet. Lead singer Shelby rocked the house as the band brought the house down! Mitchel Musso was the head acted that evening, even though his music is for the “kids” I felt his performance was a little too cheese! Though his band was awesome and played rock sounds well. I would recommend seeing KSM live for sure!

"Read Between The Lines" album review by Arturo

KSM is anything but your typical Disney pop rock group, this high energy girl group definitely has the vocals and the talent to back it up. I know I had some obvious judgments, but this is way better than your typical fabricated Disney band.

“Don’t Rain On My Parade” - Personally my least favorite track on the album. It’s one of those “don’t ruin my day, I just wanna have some fun” kind of songs. Need a song to blast on the highway while you slather on that lip gloss?.. This is the song for you.

“Crazy For You” - One of my favorite songs. It screams teenage attitude. One line particularly sticks out: “You have made a mess of me/look how you knocked me off of my feet”. It’s a cute love song and I totally dig the cheesy pop rock goodness.

“Read Between The Lines” - The title song definitely deserved to be expressed. It’s totally worth many listens. Lead vocalist Shelby belts out about a broken relationship and how she knows it’s the end as she read betweens the lines and examines the situations.

“Everytime You Go” - An extremely sweet rock ballad where the amazing vocals of Shelby shine. The track talks about missing the special someone and how she hates to see them go and tries to hide the pain of them leaving.

“Saturdays and Sundays” - A cute little weekend party ballad for tweens and teens alike. The guitar by Katie, Sophia, and Shae are incredible, the riffs really show off the talents of these girls.

“Permission To Party” - Extremely similar to a rebel party song by The Veronicas, this song is definitely one to dance and sing along to. Teenage rebellion at it’s best and I totally love it.

“Distracted” - Another great love song. Shelby’s vocals mirror that of a young Gwen Stefani, yes I said Gwen Stefani. Shelby’s belts out about having a boy distract her to the point where she can’t focus, always a great topic

“Unpredictable” - I particularly love this song for Kate’s rhythm drumming. Can you say amazing? It’s a cute song about life being unpredictable and the guitars set it off for a good time!

“Don’t Come Crying To Me” - A single worthy track about refusing to show sympathy to an ex boyfriend that screws you over and leaves for someone else and even she leaves him. I love it. The topic is definitely relatable.

“Best Friends Forever” - Sounds straight out of a Disney movie which is not necessarily a bad thing. Not exactly a favorite but really cute.

“Slow Motion” - A song about a crazy day that never slows down. It has a nice little breakdown mid-chorus that most songs can’t pull off.

“2 Guitars, Bass, And A Drum” - A fun song about the band and putting together a song and being yourself. It gives the band members a chance to show off their real skills.

“I Want You To Want Me” - A Cheap Trick cover often favored by singers, with this one well done. Shelby tackles the vocals extremely well. Covered for the theme song of movie turned tv show “10 Things I Hate About You”, it definitely brings that pizzazz to a lackluster show.
